Problems with Cellbi.AppPacker-1.0.0.35

Postby guillep2k on Thu Dec 24, 2009 10:37 pm

Hi. I just downloaded Cellbi.AppPacker-1.0.0.35. First thing I noticed is it doesn't include the source files; only assemblies and docs. Then I tried with the compiled version of AppPacker. It ran OK, but my antivirus (Trend Micro) complained about the generated .exe: "Possible_Movly-1 from C:\.....\bin\Debug\packed.exe". Although it passed the virus check after the warning, the antivirus complains every time I try executing the file. My program is aimed to members of an online community, so I expect many of them to complain about these virus warnings.

PS: Compiled 1.0.0.20 from sources produces the same result.

Have you heard of this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

For your help and your hard work, thank you.

It looks like anti virus software doesn't like the way application data is packaged into output exe file.
We'll take a look into this problem, however I can't promise any dates.

As for the source code, please download it using the following link:

Thank you. Anyway, I realized that AppPacker suffers from the same problem I was trying to work around: .Net just doesn't like to load mixed ("unverified") C++/CLI assemblies from bytes.
